Height Safety Engineers will be running public courses in the nationally-recognised RIIWHS204D Work Safely at Heights this throughout February in both Sydney and Melbourne.
Learn the fundamental skills of working safely at heights or on raised areas with this introductory course in height safety from the experts at Height Safety Engineers.
The course is focused on giving participants strong foundation of knowledge and skills in the areas of relevant legislation and standards covering height safety, how to perform a risk assessment ahead of working at heights and installation of protective control measures.
Participants will also learn how to identify suspension trauma, correct fitting and use of a fall arrest harness. The course will also introduce students to a variety of different fall arrest systems they may find in use at work.
Material in the course will also cover safe use of tolls when working at height, process to select the correct personal protective equipment (PPE) to use in a given circumstance plus how to inspect PPE before and after work to check for wear and tear ensuring it is kept in operational condition and is functioning correctly.
