RIIHAN301E Operate Elevating Work Platform (under 11m) public course dates for January 2020 are now available from Height Safety Engineers.
This course teaches participants how to safely operate an elevating work platform (EWP) under 11m. An elevating work platform may be used to conduct work activities at height or to reach raised areas such as roofs.
Participants will learn how to plan work to be undertaken, conducting routine maintenance checks before commencing work, how to set up the EWP in order to complete the work, safe operation of the EWP and correct shutdown and stowing procedures.
At Height Safety Engineers, we use a boom-type EWP for this course, however a scissor-lift style EWP may be able to be provided on request.
For clarification, by “boom-type EWP” we mean a telescoping device, hinged device or articulated device, or any combination of these, used to support a platform on which personnel, equipment and materials may be elevated.
Please note although this course contains material related to the National Standard for High Risk Work, successful completion will not result in a participant being eligible to receive a high risk work licence.
