Height Safety Engineers will be running confined space training this February at the state-of-the-art training centre in Melbourne.
Confined space training serves as the introductory course for those who may find themselves working in and around confined spaces.
The course introduces participants to the procedures and practices that should be followed in order to maintain safety around confined spaces.
Participants will learn about the hazards often present when working around confined spaces, legislation related to high risk work, duties of a standby person, gas testing atmospheres and regulations regarding permits to enter and how to work with them.
The use and limitations of personal protective equipment (PPE) used when working with confined spaces will also be covered as part of the training course. Participants will also gain instruction in administrative tasks including performing risk assessments prior to work and the installation of protective control measures.
