Fire Extinguisher Training Dates | February

Height Safety Engineers will be running fire extinguisher training during February 2020 in Melbourne.

Fire Extinguisher Training introduces participants to a variety of portable fire fighting equipment that is commonly found in work environments. It also covers the correct and safe methods of handling and using fire extinguishers, fire hose reels and fire blankets.

Participants will also learn about the different types of fires they may come across and how to classify them, the types of fire extinguishers available and their correct use as well as use of hose reels and blankets. The course also teaches safety procedures to follow when fighting fires as well as fire fighting tactics.

Both theoretical and practical components make up the training session. This ensures participants gain hands-on experience using fire fighting equipment under careful instruction from experienced emergency services training specialists.

Fire Warden Training Dates | February

Height Safety Engineers will be running public courses in Fire Warden Training throughout February in Sydney.

Fire warden training provides participants with the knowledge and skills to recognise emergencies in the work, how to report them and knowing what action is appropriate to take in response. It also covers raising the alarm during an emergency and safely evacuating a building’s occupants.

Participants will also be introduced to a range of portable firefighting equipment commonly found in the workplace. Practical training will also be given in the correct use of fire blankets, fire hose reels and fire extinguishers.

Fire Warden Training at Height Safety Engineers includes both theoretical and practical components, ensuring participants are familiar with and comfortable using firefighting equipment with training provided by our experienced emergency services trainers.

First Aid and CPR Training Dates | February

Height Safety Engineers will be running public first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) courses this February in both Sydney and Melbourne.

First Aid and CPR training at Height Safety Engineers provides participants with best practice skills and knowledge to respond to an incident in the workplace or home requiring first aid.

Participants will learn how to apply first aid to a range of common injury types including burns, cuts, bleeding, asthma, anaphylaxis, seizures, bits from spiders or snakes, soft tissue injuries, seizures, eye injuries and more.

The course will also cover managing shock, effective minimisation of hazards to the first aider and others and how to correctly perform CPR.

Upon successful completion of the course and its assessment tasks, the participant will be able to serve as a first aid officer in their workplace or other situation where first aid skills may be needed.

The Height Safety Engineers first aid and CPR training course has been developed with a strong focus on highly practical scenarios drawn from real life experience, and presents participants with realistic situations that require a first aid response.
