Confined Space Training public course dates for January 2020 are now available from Height Safety Engineers.
This is an introductory course for those required to work in and around confined spaces.
Confined Space Training will introduce participants to the hazards common to working in confined spaces, legislation related to high risk work. The course will also cover the duties of a standby person, gas testing atmospheres and working with permits to enter.
Use of associated personal protective equipment (PPE) as well as identification of its limitations will also be covered.
Participants will also gain experience in using various pieces of confined space entry equipment including tripods, davits, personal winches, RPDs, spreader bars, retrieval SRLs and full body harnesses. Administrative tasks such as performing risk assessments and installation of control measures also form part of the course.

Tuesday 14 to Wednesday 15 January – 8.00am to 4.00pm
Please note this course runs over two full days.

Successful completion of the confined space refresher training course will grant the participant statements of attainment in:
- MSMPER200 Work in Accordance With An Issued Permit
- MSMWHS217 Gas Test Atmospheres
- RIIRIS201D Conduct Local Risk Control
- RIIWHS202D Enter and Work in Confined Spaces
