This course describes the skills and the knowledge required to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

It applies to workers who may be required to provide CPR, in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings.

COURSE CONTENTS:

  • Respond to an emergency situation.
  • Perform CPR Procedures
  • Communicate details of incident
  • Managing the Unconscious Casualty
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
  • Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

COURSE INCLUSIONS:

  • CPR resuscitation face shield
  • A4 display certificate issued by Height Safety Engineers
  • Plastic wallet card issued by Height Safety Engineers

DURATION:

  • 4 hours classroom training and assessment. Face to Face. No online Component.

ASSESSMENT METHODS:

  • Training and Assessment will be delivered by and certified by Height Safety Engineers
  • Theory Written Assessment
  • Progressive practical assessment

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Students must be 14 years or older.
  • Students must have the inherint literacy and numeracy skills required to complete the course content. Further Support can be found at Student Support
  • Students do not require to bring any other learning materials as a handbook will be provided.

AWARD ISSUED: 

  • Successful participants will receive a Statement of Attainment Certificate from HSE RTO 91227
  • A4 display certificate issued by Height Safety Engineers
  • Plastic Wallet card issued by Height Safety Engineers

RECERTIFICATION: 

  • Annual refreshers recommended to maintain current CPR skills

LOCATION:

  • Training can be delivered onsite which can be organised prior to enrolment or at HSE Office 32 Mount Erin Road Campbelltown

  • The Australian Skills and Qualification Authority (ASQA) requires that students be aware of their rights and responsibilities once they have selected their training provider.
