RIIHAN301E Operate Elevating Work Platform (EWP) Under 11m Training Dates | December

Undertake training in the operation of an elevating work platform (under 11m) this December with the working at heights experts at Height Safety Engineers.

Height Safety Engineers (RTO 91227) will be running its one-day training course in the operation of an elevating work platform (EWP) this December in Sydney.

RIIHAN301E Operate Elevating Work Plaform instructs participants in the planning of work to be undertaken using an EWP, conducting routine maintenance checks before work, how to set up the EWP, operating the EWP and the safe shutdown and securing of the EWP at the conclusion of work.

This course is aimed at anyone who may be required to operate an elevating work platform under 11m.

Height Safety Engineers’s course primarily uses a boom-type EWP, however a scissor-lift style EWP may be able to used on request.

For the purposes of this course, a boom-type EWP means a telescoping device, hinged device, or articulated device, or any combination of these, used to support a platform on which personnel, equipment and materials may be elevated.

While this course contains material that relates to the National Standard for High Risk Work, successful completion will not make a participant eligible to recieve a high risk work licence.

First Aid and CPR Training Dates | December

Learn the skills and gain the knowledge needed to provide a first aid response to an accident in your workplace and provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) with this nationally recognised training course.

Height Safety Engineers (RTO 91227) will be running a public training course in first aid and CPR this December at their state of the art training centre in Sydney.

The first aid and CPR training course will teach participants a broad range of skills in the application of first aid including response to burns, bleeding, cuts, asthma, seizures, anaphylaxis, choking, spider and snake bites as well as soft tissue and eye injuries.

Participants will also engage with material about the responsibilities of first aid officer, managing shock, minimising hazards to themselves and others, and the performance of CPR procedures.

Successful completion of this training first aid and CPR training course will qualify a participant to act as a first aid officer in their workplace or other situation.

Height Safety Engineers’s first aid and CPR course is highly practical and focuses on real life safety scenarios participants are likely to come across.

RIIWHS204D Work Safely at Heights Training Dates | December

Learn the fundamentals of working safely at heights and how to use fall protection equipment with this one-day training course from Height Safety Engineers.

Public training course dates are available across December for RIIWHS204D Work Safely at Heights from Height Safety Engineers (RTO 91227).

This introductory course to working safely at heights teaches participants about height safety legislation and standards, how to perform a risk assessment and install control measures, identification of suspension trauma, correct fitting and usage of fall arrest harnesses as well as other fall arrest systems, the safe use of tools while workingat heights, and much more.

Participants will also learn how to select the correct personal protective equipment (PPE) to use while working at heights, plus how to inspect their PPE before and after performing work to ensure it is kept in proper operational condition.

10559NAT Course in Working Safely with Asbestos Containing Materials Training Dates | December

Extend your skills in asbestos safety with this course that teaches safe work practices for situations in which absestos is present.

Training course dates are available this December for 10559NAT Course in Working Safely with Asbestos Containing Materials from Height Safety Engineers (RTO 91227).

This course extends the skills and knowledge taught in 10675NAT Course in Asbestos Awareness. Participants in this course will learn how to prepare a worksite, usage of personal protective equipment (PPE), safe drilling and cutting techniques as well as a decontamination process.

This course is required for any worker in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) where they may come into contact with asbestos or asbestos containing material.

Occupations where holding a statement of attainment in this course include air-conditioning and mechanical services plumber, air-conditioning and refrigeration technician, data and telecommunications cabler, general and special class electricians, gas fitter, plumber, telecommunications technician, electrical or telecommunications trades assistant or plumber’s assistant.

It is a pre-requisite of this course that a participant hold a current statement of attainment in 10675NAT Course in Asbestos Awareness.

10675NAT Course in Asbestos Awareness Training Dates | December

Learn how to identify areas where asbestos containing materials may be present with this half-day training course and gain a nationally recognised qualification.

Public training course classes are available this December from Height Safety Engineers (RTO 91227) in the nationally recognised 10675NAT Course in Asbestos Awareness.

This course teaches participants how to identify and report materials at their work or job site that may contain asbestos. Participants will also learn the hazards associated with asbestos exposure inhalation, as well as precautions that can be taken when asbestos is discovered, best practice reporting procedures and a general understanding of duties of care.

Persons in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) form whom their employer or other person conducting a business or undertaking (PCBU) may reasonably believe will come into contact with asbestos or an asbestos containing material are required under territory law to hold this qualification.

Occupations where this may apply include cleaners, plumbers, labourers, landscapers, engineers, fencers, glaziers, locksmiths, construction workers, air-conditioning technicians, electricians and more.

RIIWEHS204D Work Safely at Heights training course dates for November 2019 are now available for booking from Height Safety Engineers.

Height Safety Engineers will run training courses for the nationally recognised RIIWHS204D Work Safely at Heights qualification during November 2019.

This training course is crucial for those working at heights on roofs or other elevated areas where a height safety system may have been installed.

During the course, participants will learn skills around identification of hazards that may be present when working at heights, state and federal legislation that covers safe work practices, various categories of personal protective equipment that may be used while working at heights as well as that equipment’s limitations.

Confined Space Training Refresher Course | November

Refresh your knowledge of how to safely work in and around confined spaces with Height Safety Engineers’s one-day confined space refresher training course in Melbourne.

The confined space refresher training course is aimed that those participants who have already completed confined space training within the last three (3) years, and wish to ensure their knowledge and work practices are still up to date.

This refresher course covers aspects of working in and around confined spaces including key safe work legislation, duties of a standby person, correctly identifying and using relevant personal protective equipment (PPE), gas testing atmospheres and working with permits.

First Aid and CPR Training Courses | November

First Aid and CPR Training Courses | November

Gain nationally-recongised training training in first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) with this one-day training course running in November 2019.

Height Safety Engineers’s first aid and CPR training course will be run during November 2019 at our Melbourne training centre in Tullamarine and Sydney training headquarters.

This training course teaches first ad response to a casualty that may arise out of an accident at the workplace or elsewhere.

Participants will learn basics of first aid responses to cuts, burns, fractures, snake bites, poisons, choking as well as anaphylaxis, asthma and seizures.

Instruction will also be provided in assessing for hazards and the need for CPR in a collapsed person, operation of an automated external defibrillator (AED) and recording details of any accident or other event.

Upon successful completion of the course, a participant will be able to be listed as a recognised first aid officer in their workplace or other organisation.
